With the completion of the field portion of the C3VP earlier
this year (www.c3vp.org), the Canadian Space Agency is hosting
a workshop to discuss all aspects of the field project and
application areas. The workshop is organized around the theme
of cold season cloud systems.
Topics for consideration include status and results from
the field observations, status of CloudSat retrievals and
associated applications, CALIPSO applications, GPM analysis
and applications, and links between the programs/measurements.
Noteworthy is that one session will be devoted to an open
discussion on the way forward with future cold season validation
experiments for CloudSat and on future missions such as GPM
and EarthCARE.
